I was born and raised under extreme adversity by my mother, a single parent of two children. I lived in the infamous Second Ward known as El Segundo Barrio, the highest poverty-stricken neighborhood in El Paso, Texas. During this phase of extreme hardship, my mother implemented a strong work ethic and strict disciplinary regiment.
At age eight, I was introduced to the hard labor camps
yielding pecan, onion and pepper crops; it was a testament of strength
and determination to face life’s challenges. As time
progressed, hard work became my passion and an integral part of
my vision to succeed.
In 1970 at age nine, I was honored with my first work of art
at The Museum of Art in El Paso, Texas. I continued to further
my education in art and architecture during my high school
years. A path to a career in architecture was reinforced with
an interest in art, which further evolved after three years
of architectural drafting courses at Irvin High School.
In 1988, six years after serving my country in the United
States Marine Corps, I continued to study art and architecture.
In 1991, I graduated from the School of Architecture and
Planning in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and continued with post
graduate studies, receiving a Master of Architecture Degree
in 1996.
After completing my academic studies, I pursued a career in
art, delivering a series of art exhibits in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. In 1998, after working in the architecture
industry for one year, I settled in New York City to continue
in the path of art and architecture, focusing on high-rise
design and human anatomy. I continued to develop my art
skills, challenging and exploring them. I am fascinated
with human anatomy, which has become the central theme of my
abstract works.
Today, my journey has emerged into the profession of Forensic Art and currently committed to the art of Forensics in 3-D facial reconstruction, composite sketch, and age progression for criminal investigation and identification of cold cases. Our mission and purpose in life is supported by a background in Law Enforcement, Military and Fine Art to promote solutions to unsolved crimes. I have continued to work as an architect in New York City and have steadily evolved in the field of Forensic Art to aid Law Enforcement Agencies in crime solving solutions and to provide support to non-profit organization(s) in the U.S. and abroad.
It is our vision to preserve a high standard of recognition and support to the Forensic Art Industry and to build a bridge to unify mankind and to embrace a humanitarian platform to aid in the wellbeing of children exposed to sexual crimes. Our path and journey will expand into the millennial future.
